Open HelloAgain, choose your language, then tap Sign up. Enter your name, email, phone number, date of birth and a password. You'll land on Home, ready to build your circle.

Tip: use the email address you check most — it's how you'll recover your account.

Go to the Circle tab and tap Add. You can search by the name, email or phone number they signed up with, or send them an invite link. When they accept, choose the relationship — family, social or care — which shapes what each of you sees and gets notified about.

Two taps:

1. On Home, tap how you feel today — Great, Fine or Lonely. That's your 5-second check-in.
2. On Circle, tap 👋 Say Hello next to anyone you're thinking of.

Your circle sees both instantly, and HelloAgain keeps the rhythm going with gentle reminders.

Yes. HelloAgain is available in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and German. You choose a language the first time you open the app and can change it anytime from your Profile (tap your photo in the top corner of Home) → Language.

Tap your photo or initials in the top corner of the Home tab. From there you can change your photo, name, language, notification sounds, privacy settings and password, and see which app version you're on.

Open the Circle tab and tap 📞 Call next to the person, then choose Voice or Video. You can also call from inside any chat in Connect using the phone or camera icon at the top.

Open a family group in Connect and tap the call or video icon at the top — everyone in the group rings at once. During a 1-to-1 call, tap Add person to turn it into a group call without hanging up.

On iPhone, HelloAgain calls appear like a regular phone call — swipe or tap Accept.
On Android, a full-screen incoming-call screen takes over the lock screen with Accept and Decline. If you only see a small banner, pull it down and tap Accept.

Android 14+ note: the first time HelloAgain rings while the phone is locked, it may ask you to allow full-screen notifications. Allow it — that's what lets calls take over the screen.

1. Update the app. Most ringing problems are fixed in newer versions. Install the latest build, open it once and sign in.
2. Allow notifications. Phone Settings → Apps → HelloAgain → Notifications → make sure Incoming Calls is on and not silenced.
3. Turn off battery restrictions. Settings → Apps → HelloAgain → Battery → choose Unrestricted (Samsung: also remove HelloAgain from "Sleeping apps").
4. Check Do Not Disturb / Focus — HelloAgain calls respect these unless you allow the app.
5. Open the app, go to Profile → Notification health and tap Re-check. It tells you if your phone is reachable for calls.

During a call tap the 🔊 speaker button to toggle the loudspeaker. When headphones, a Bluetooth speaker or your car are connected, tap the audio route button (the small headset icon) to pick where the sound goes. HelloAgain automatically moves the call to your car or earbuds when they connect.

Check that HelloAgain has microphone permission (Settings → Apps → HelloAgain → Permissions). Make sure you didn't mute yourself (the 🎙️ button) and that the volume rocker is up. If the call says Connecting… for more than a few seconds, hang up and call again — a weak network on either side is the usual cause.

It's a one-tap way to tell your circle how you're doing: Great, Fine or Lonely. It lives at the top of Home and takes about five seconds. Your circle sees your mood and when you last checked in; nothing is public.

Your closest people are quietly told you could use some company, and they get a nudge to call or send a Hello. Nothing dramatic — just the right person reaching out at the right time.

A 👋 Hello is a one-second wave that says "thinking of you." The other person gets a warm notification and can wave back, call or message. Hellos also count toward your Connection Rhythm.

Yes. On Circle, tap 💙 Check In next to a person to ask how they're doing. They'll get a gentle prompt to share their mood.

A private number — just for you — that reflects how connected you've been with your circle lately. Hellos, calls, check-ins, messages and shared memories all count. It's a gentle habit tracker, not a competition, and nobody else sees it.

If someone in your circle goes quiet for longer than usual — no check-ins, Hellos or calls — the right person is nudged to reach out before silence becomes worry. When they check in again, everyone gets an all-clear. Alerts are designed to prompt care, not panic.

Yes. Go to Profile → Sounds & ringtones. Pick a default ringtone, then tap a member of your circle to give them their own. You can also change the chime for messages, Hellos and caring moments.

Yes — Profile → Notifications → Quiet hours. Messages and reminders wait until the morning. Incoming calls still ring so family can always reach you in an emergency.

Personal, AI-crafted suggestions on Home and Rhythm — for example, "it's been a week since you and Rich last spoke." Each one comes with a ready-to-send voice note, message or call button so reaching out takes seconds. You can dismiss any suggestion.

Open Connect, tap a person or group, and type in the box at the bottom. Hold the 🎙️ microphone button to record a voice note and release to send. Tap the 📷 icon to share a photo.

In Connect, tap New group, give it a name, and pick members from your circle. Groups have their own chat and can start group voice or video calls.

The Memories tab is a private gallery for the moments that matter — photos, short videos and voice memories. Only the people you share each memory with can see it. There are no public feeds, likes from strangers or ads.

Inside Memories, the Studio lets you take photos or short videos with fun live effects, filters, games and AI styles, add a caption and share them to your circle as a memory.

Yes. Long-press a message to delete it, or open a memory and tap the ⋯ menu → Delete. It's removed for everyone in the circle.

On the sign-in screen tap Forgot password?, enter your email and date of birth, then set a new password. If you can't get past this step, message support from the email address on your account.

For your safety, a HelloAgain account can be signed in on one phone at a time. Signing in on a new phone signs the old one out. If this wasn't you, sign back in and change your password immediately from Profile → Security.

Yes. Everything you share stays inside your circle: no public profiles, no ads, no strangers. App content is hidden behind your phone's lock screen — only an incoming call can appear, just like your phone's dialer. Read our Privacy Policy for the details.

Tap your photo in the top corner of Home to open your Profile, then tap Edit. Changes appear to your circle right away.

In the app: Profile → Account → Delete account. Or use our account deletion page. Your profile, circle connections, messages and memories are permanently removed; this cannot be undone.

Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android), search for HelloAgain and tap Update. If you received the app directly from us, install the new file we sent, then open the app once and sign in. You can see your version at the bottom of Profile.
